Old Ways for Modern Days Podcast Episode 2: Navigating Coronavirus with Elders is now available.

As everyone knows, it is our Elders who are the most vulnerable to Coronavirus, and there is a lot of confusion on what we can do to support them during these unprecedented times.

Modern Matriarchy is a subject I am passionate about. It  implies a duty to look after our young ones, to help them to do the work they were put on this planet to do. At the same time elders hold the key to our connection to the past, and help us navigate the future. During this pandemic our behavior choices directly affect them.  We have another duty, to our elders, to care for them, and their wisdom, and protect them both.

This episode shares ideas and information about how we can take care of our elders, physically, mentally, and emotionally during these difficult times, without putting them in physical danger. It requires us to get creative with how we define connection.

It also includes an interview with special guest Lyra Madrona. Lyra lives in Slovenia with her husband and shares a close relationship with his parents and grandmother, who are all high risk elders during this pandemic.

Lyra was one of the first people I saw focusing their preparations around loving and supporting her elders, and it inspired me to ask her to talk to me about what she’s been doing and how her people are faring. It’s a fun, and informative conversation.

Please join me and my special guest Lyra Madrona as we discuss loving measures to best protect our elders, the most vulnerable group during this pandemic, through our behavior choices.

I hope you will join us. These times are so uncertain, it’s hard to know what to do.  So go with your gut, and go with your heart. Be safe. Be Well.
